At the May Village Board Meeting, Village Trustee Mr. Mike Scott presented Goreville resident Mr. Whitey Sornat a T-shirt saying, “Retired – The ability to play pickleball whenever and wherever I want.” Mr. Sornat a new citizen of the Village was a driving force in the Village adding a pickleball court at the Village Park. The new pickleball court is anticipated to open later this month.
