Goreville is the gateway to Ferne Clyffe State Park and the Lake of Egypt and is nestled in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest. Living here will find you surrounded by beauty and nature while enjoying close access to all of the major shopping and recreational areas Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri and Western Kentucky have to offer. From our excellent school system all the way to our 4th of July Parade and Community Fireworks, you will find that we ARE the best kept secret in the Midwest.
